Home Roasting - Introduction (February 20, 2021)
Learn how to roast at home using a variety of equipment, tools and methods. Get a better understanding of the roasting process, what to listen for and smell and how to tell when your roast is done. Learn some fundamentals about green beans, what’s the difference between light – med – dark roasts. We will also discuss how green beans are processed and the impact that has on the taste of coffee.
Each participant gets their choice of 1 lb. bag of green coffee beans to roast at home. We will be tasting a variety of coffees and snacks will be provided.
Class starts at 9:00 am and runs for approximately 2 hours.
Classes are limited to 8 participants due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Masks are required, except while seated for coffee tastings and eating.
